Inspired by her love of fashion, texture, and color, Tawana found a passion for design at an early age. Combining elegance and intricacy without denying simplicity is what has driven her approach to design. She thrives on placing fashion into the pieces that create a home. She transitioned from her personal ideas to sharing them with others by opening Norwalk Furniture and Design with her best friend, Kellie Clarke. Her straightforward approach to business is balanced by impassioned feelings about her parents and family.
Loving colors and fabrics her whole life, Kellie Clarke always dreamed of being an interior designer. Earning her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Eastern Kentucky University in 1995 while working part-time at Norwalk Furniture, she was able to fulfill her dream of helping clients with fabrics and room design. In 2006, Kellie partnered with her best friend, Tawana Palmer, in co-owning Norwalk Furniture Design. Together they took Norwalk from a franchise to being a full-service design studio for home interiors. When not working with clients, Kellie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Justin has always had a strong passion for design throughout his youth led him to attend the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for Fashion Design. Staying strong to his Southern Roots (Somerset, KY) he made his way back to Kentucky. In just a very short time he has worked with a diverse crowd of tastes and budgets. There’s no project too big or too small for him to put all his energy into. His most recent project has been an Ashland Park Historic Renovation of a 1920’s home. He guided and designed it from the frame up. This design led him to win The Renovation Home Tour of 2014. With his respect to tradition and classic looks he loves to spice things up with new colors and modern twists! He brings an organic element to his mixture of colors, with a balance of lighting and combination of materials.
